Stripped back to brick, stone and board, then put together with care: filament light, bentwood stools, bare timber floors. Nothing shouted, nothing fake.
The bar itself is bespoke — a sculptural reading of the sea wall that wraps Scarborough, drawn as one clean curve to set against the patchwork of historic stone and brick behind it.
Cocktails made properly, wine worth ordering by the glass, and cold beer poured without ceremony. Two rooms and a staircase, open from two in the afternoon.
The building is eighteenth century. Everything we do in it is for now.
Walk in — groups of any size welcome, no booking needed. Children until 9pm, dogs whenever. Private hire is available; message us on Instagram or drop us a line.
Birthdays, wakes, launches, wedding afters, closed-door tastings. The upstairs holds a standing party comfortably; the whole place can be yours outside our usual hours.
Day to day, no part of the bar is held back — everyone is welcome in every room.
Tell us the date, the number and roughly what you want it to feel like, and we'll come back with drinks, food and a price.
